Beaufort Fishing Guide

Captain Nick Boyd is a committed and devoted expert who enjoys mentoring individuals at any skill level. A “true” native who spent his life in these South Carolina waters where the tides and creeks run through his veins.  He has traveled all over and led expeditions but the Low Country is his home. Nick is a lifelong fly fisherman, avid outdoorsman, and a Coast Guard licensed and insured captain.

The Boat: Capt. Nick runs the “ragged edge” of the low country in a  Hells Bay Neptune flats skiff that is designed to handle everything from our open sounds to the skinniest of flats in less than 7 inches of water.  This boat was designed and built for Jose Wejebe of  The Walkers Cay Chronicles and where he operated this boat and passed it onto Nick, from Jose’s family, to carry on the Fly Fishing guide tradition.

Beaufort Fishing Charters:

Throughout the year, our half-day excursions focus on catching redfish (red drum) in shallow waters. Depending on the season, these outings may also involve pursuing cobia, jack crevalle, and tripletail.

Our three-quarter day fishing trips are perfect for enthusiastic anglers who want to experience exciting sight fishing for redfish. Additionally, these trips offer excellent opportunities for catching cobia, jack crevalle, triple tail, and tarpon.

Seasonal, our Full Days trip is our Maximum impact. It allows us to get around the tides and have our best shots at catching the LoCo Slam. The Low Country slam is a bull redfish, Tarpon and with a triple tail, Jack or cobia.
